Electric Resistance Alloy Wire 

NiCr Heating resistance alloys are mainly in the form of wire and strip for use at 1100?~1250?(2010°F~2280°F).It is supplied with bright,oxidized and acid-white surface,spooled and coiled package.They are mainly used in industrial furnace and various heaters,resistors.

 

NiCr alloys Advantages

1.Have higher hot and creep strength than FeCrAl alloys.

2.Better ductility after long use than FeCrAl alloys.

3.Generally have better corrosion resistance at room temperature than FeCrAl alloys.

4.Longer life span than FeCrAl.

Nichrome 80(Cr20Ni80)

Common Name:Ni80Cr20,Nikrothal 8,MWS-650,NiCrA,Tophet A,HAI-NiCr 80,Chromel A,Alloy A,Alloy 650,N8,Resistohm 80, Stablohm 650,Nichorme V,Nikrothal 80.

 

Characteristics

High resistivity, good oxidation resistance and very good form stability. It is suitable for use at temperatures up to 1200?,and holds a superior service life compared to Iron chromium alumium alloys.

 

Typical applications

Cooking:hot plates,domestic ovens,grills,toaster ovens,frying pans,deep fryers,rice cookers.

Water and beverage:boilers,immersion heaters,water kettles,coffee makers,dish washers,washing machines.

Space heating:radiators,storage heaters.

Others:irons,air heaters,oil heaters,glow plugs,sauna heaters

 

Nichrome 70(Cr30Ni70)

Characteristics

High resistivity, good oxidation resistance,very good form stability,good ductility and excellent weldability. It is suitable for use at temperatures up to 1250?.

 

Typical applications

Electrical heating elements in industrial furnaces. The alloy is particularly well suited for reducing atmospheres, as it is not subject to 'green rot'.
